Who we are
Suassuna Global is a trading name of Martins Costa Immigration Ltd, an England and Wales law firm authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA number 8007790). Our contact address is 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. For privacy enquiries, contact support@martinscosta.com.
What we collect
We may collect your name, contact details, nationality, immigration history, identification documents, family and employment information, financial records, correspondence, consultation recordings or transcripts, payment and booking details, and information you provide through our website. Some immigration matters involve sensitive personal data, including health, ethnicity, religion, criminal allegations or convictions. Only provide information relevant to your enquiry or matter.
How we obtain information
We obtain data from you, your authorised representatives, family members or employers, and where appropriate from public authorities, official records, professional advisers and service providers. Website forms and booking services may also provide technical and booking information.
Why we use it
We use personal data to answer enquiries, check conflicts and identity, assess eligibility, provide legal advice, manage applications and litigation, process payments, communicate with you, maintain records, comply with legal and professional obligations, investigate complaints and protect the firm from misuse or fraud. We use contact details for marketing only when permitted by law and give you an appropriate opt-out.
Our lawful bases
Depending on the activity, our lawful basis may be steps before a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation or legitimate interests such as running a secure and accountable legal practice. Where consent is required, we request it separately. Sensitive data is handled only where an additional legal condition applies, including where necessary for legal claims or where another permitted condition is satisfied.
Sharing information
We may share relevant information with the Home Office, UKVI, HM Courts and Tribunals Service, overseas immigration authorities, counsel, other professional advisers, authorised partners and suppliers providing secure case management, communication, payment, hosting or IT services. We do not sell client information. Information is shared only where necessary, lawful and consistent with our duties of confidentiality.
Overseas access and transfers
Our staff, contractors or service providers may access information from outside the UK. Where UK data protection law requires it, we use an adequacy decision, appropriate contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us for information about applicable safeguards.
How long we keep data
We keep information for as long as necessary for the service, legal and regulatory duties, professional indemnity, complaint handling and potential legal claims. Retention depends on the record and matter; we review and securely delete or anonymise records when no longer required. Client file retention details may also be given in our engagement documents.
Security, recordings and AI tools
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, controlled access and appropriate confidentiality measures. Consultations may be recorded or transcribed where we have an appropriate lawful basis and provide relevant privacy information. Authorised software or AI-assisted tools may help prepare notes and administration, subject to human oversight, confidentiality and applicable safeguards; legal advice remains the responsibility of qualified professionals.
Your rights
Subject to legal exemptions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, data portability or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Email support@martinscosta.com. Some information cannot be disclosed or erased where professional privilege or legal recordkeeping applies.

If you are concerned about how we use your personal data, contact us first. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We may update this notice to reflect changes to our services or the law. See our Cookie Policy for website storage and analytics information.
