Our commitment
We aim to provide clear, timely and professional legal services. If something goes wrong, please tell us. Complaints are taken seriously and handled fairly, promptly and without charge. Making a complaint will not affect how we treat you.
How to complain
Email support@martinscosta.com with your name, contact details, case reference where available, what happened and the outcome you seek. You can also write to Martins Costa Immigration Ltd trading as Suassuna Global, 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. If you need help communicating your complaint, please tell us.
What happens next
We will acknowledge your complaint, review relevant records and, where appropriate, speak with the people involved. We aim to resolve concerns promptly, provide updates if investigation takes longer and give a clear written response explaining our findings and proposed remedy. We normally provide our final response within eight weeks.
Legal Ombudsman
If you are eligible and dissatisfied with our final response, or eight weeks have passed without a final response, you may contact the Legal Ombudsman. Generally you must refer your complaint within six months of our final written response and within one year of the problem or when you reasonably became aware of it. The Ombudsman can apply exceptions. Contact: legalombudsman.org.uk, enquiries@legalombudsman.org.uk, 0300 555 0333, PO Box 6167, Slough SL1 0EH.
Concerns about conduct: SRA
The Legal Ombudsman deals mainly with service and costs complaints. If you are concerned about dishonesty, discrimination, misuse of client money or other serious professional misconduct, you can report your concern to the Solicitors Regulation Authority at sra.org.uk/report. The SRA does not normally award compensation or resolve individual service complaints.
Other rights
Our procedure does not prevent you from seeking independent advice, pursuing any legal rights or complaining to another appropriate regulator. For concerns about personal data, see our Privacy Policy and the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
