Who provides the consultation

A paid consultation is a one-off meeting with a solicitor or appropriately qualified adviser at Suassuna Global (Martins Costa Immigration Ltd). The booking page states the price and duration; our standard consultation is currently £100 for a 30-minute video call, unless a different service is clearly shown. Meetings normally take place on Google Meet.

Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed when payment is received and we issue confirmation. Please provide an accurate case summary and correct contact details. The booked time includes reading your summary, discussing your situation, considering key documents you show during the call and explaining reasonable next steps.

Scope and documents

This is preliminary immigration guidance based on the information available at the meeting, not a full document audit, written legal opinion or application preparation. We normally do not check documents in advance. If you wish to show documents, limit them to the essential extracts, normally no more than five pages in total. Further work requires a separate agreement.

After the meeting

We normally send a client care summary or letter with the principal points discussed, next steps and an indication of further fees where relevant. We may answer brief clarification questions at our discretion. A consultation does not guarantee a particular immigration outcome or that we will accept further instructions; acceptance is subject to conflicts, regulatory checks, capacity and professional judgment.

Rescheduling and ordinary cancellations

Please request changes at least 24 hours before the appointment, using the booking contact instructions or WhatsApp +44 (0) 77 0694 9051. With at least 24 hours’ notice, we ordinarily offer rescheduling or a refund. For later cancellations, non-attendance or lateness, we may charge for reasonable work performed and a lawfully recoverable cancellation charge, subject always to your statutory rights and the circumstances. If you arrive late, the appointment will normally end at the scheduled time.

Your statutory cooling-off rights

Where you book as a consumer online or at a distance, a 14-day cancellation right may apply. If you ask us to begin the service during that period, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work provided before cancellation. Your right to cancel may end once a service has been fully performed, but only where the legal requirements for express request and acknowledgement have been satisfied. Nothing here removes statutory consumer rights.

Technical problems

You need a suitable internet connection, microphone and device. Tell us promptly if you cannot connect. We will try to resolve technical problems reasonably. If we cannot deliver the service because of a problem on our side, we will offer a suitable rearrangement or refund for services not provided. A telephone alternative may be agreed if appropriate.

Professional conduct and confidentiality

We advise only on lawful and proper options. We may decline to act where there is a conflict, suspected dishonesty or another professional reason. We handle personal data under our Privacy Policy and may create attendance notes, recordings or transcripts where lawful and appropriately disclosed. Please request permission before recording a meeting yourself.

Complaints

If something goes wrong, email support@martinscosta.com. We will investigate under our Complaints Procedure. Your right to complain or seek appropriate redress is not removed by these terms. The Legal Ombudsman may be able to consider eligible complaints after our final response or eight weeks.

Language and changes

Consultations take place in the language confirmed at booking. If we provide translated terms, the English text is the principal reference, without affecting statutory protections. Any material change to a booked service will be discussed with you.
